Ideas for creating YouTube content:
Pick any one of the areas below and start creating content and make a lot of it. People will know you from your content and so will YouTube.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Normally, an SME (Subject Matter Expert) can create videos based on his experience on that subject. For example, if you have experience in any job that you have been doing for the past 5-10 years, you become an expert on that and have a lot of things to tell about. Let’s say, you own a grocery store and you are running it for a while now, you can create a video on “How to open and run a grocery store”. This is will be unique as most people do not know, but interesting as most people want to know how to get into that business.
Daily Vlogging:
Some YouTubers follow the idea of daily vlogs where they show their day-to-day life activities. This is very tough as most of us do not want to give away our privacy. However, this idea is a hit as it lets the audience connect directly and people can relate to it. You still need creativity in making such videos.
Reviews/Reactions:
Pick up any hit item on social media and make a review video. Add your comments, both positive and negative. Reaction videos are rather dumb but still get a lot of attraction on YouTube.
Documentary:
Pick up a topic/taboo, do some research, and film a documentary.
Travel Vlogs:
If you are a frequent traveler, this can attract a lot of audiences provided you give more relevant information, like the cost of things, means of transportation, attractions for the site, etc.
Tips for YouTubers
- Work on creating unique content, do not add a video or audio clips that do not belong to you. You need to be careful here as YouTube will not pay you anything if they find any copyrighted material in your videos.
- Set a schedule for your upload. Like daily or weekly, based on the topic you choose to create a video. People will forget you and a new YouTuber will take your place if you do not upload regularly.
